Vehicle Description
With changes coming about for Rolls Royce and Bentley to meet both
a demanding public and continued United States efficiency mandates,
their largest importer of the brand, a new model lineup was
introduced for the 1980 model year to replace the Silver Wraith II
and Silver Shadow II series. The new series would be named Silver
Spirit along with longer wheelbase luxury model, the Silver Spur.
The Spur would stretch the wheelbase to124.5" and provide a
standard Everflex top & larger rear passenger area fitted with tray
tables. These outstanding long wheelbase road-going cars were very
successful and produced through the 1989model year, averaging only
624 units per year. Today, finding examples that have been
maintained perfectly, and remain factory original with ultra-low
mileage can be extremely difficult. This example will impress even
the most critical of collectors!
